Brigitte Bardot and I in one of my studios during the 1956 International Cannes film festival. I was creating a portrait of Bardot and I absolutely adored her ponytail because it pulled the skin taut and made the face a mask. It was a wonderful time !

This is one of my most famous pieces of work that I created in the year of 1937, called Guernica ,and the medium is an oil on canvas. My reason for creating this piece was in response to the bombing of Guernica, Basque Country by Germany and Italian warplanes.
